The foundation which guides my approach is that there is an objective truth that can be found by using principles of reason. Whatever paradigm chosen in helping a client, it is subordinate to an overarching trust and belief in this objective truth which can lead to flourishing. The key is figuring out what prescription is needed. I have almost 20 years of experience in the counseling profession as a counselor, counselor educator, and supervisor.

Additionally, I have a Master of Arts in Theology that provides a framework for choosing appropriate theoretical approaches based on client goals. I have worked with many diverse clients and have extensive experience integrating spiritualty when treating substance use disorders, eating disorders, trauma, family and relational issues, and communication skills. I also provide supervision to LPC-Associates in the state of Texas.
