From my own life experience and from working with clients, I know it takes enormous courage to begin a process of growth and I’d like to encourage you and help you determine the best next steps. I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families discover the root of what’s preventing them from moving forward, and equipping them with the skills and confidence they need to overcome their obstacles. I would be honored to journey with you toward personal healing, a deeper connection with others, and a renewed clarity of purpose.
After a decade of directing educational, leadership, and mentoring programs for high schoolers in the United States and Spain, I felt a strong calling to support individuals in pursuit of real and lasting change in their lives and families. It was then that I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at The Institute for the Psychological Sciences.
Since graduation, I have worked with adolescents and adults from a diverse set of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in Atlanta, Boston, Orlando, and Dallas. My experience ranges from private practice to involvement in community-based agencies. While in Georgia, I completed an externship program at the Atlanta Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. I also completed a post-graduate program at the Trauma Center founded by Bessel Van Der Kolk, world-renowned researcher and best-selling author on trauma. During the program, I served as a clinician and advocate for gang-related youth in Boston, gaining experience in crisis management and coordinating legal, professional, and educational services for my clients.
My approach to therapy is informed by attachment and interpersonal theories, mindfulness, and a psychodynamic understanding of the person.
My goal is for you to walk away with increased self-awareness, a comprehensive plan for growth, and hope for your future. If you think we would be a good fit, please fill out the contact form to set up a free phone consultation.
In my free time, I like to travel to new places, improve my Argentine Tango skills, enjoy the company of family and friends, pray, garden, trail run, explore cafés, and eat good things covered in dark chocolate.
